Where Has Proud Gone!!!!!!

Years ago being born in a city of several million people one developed a since of being proud of or having pride in that city.  Stop and ask someone today if their proud of the city they live in we’re not sure you would receive the same answer.   We at SB wanted to take a more in depth look at proud/pride to see what question could be answered.

Webster Dictionary defines proud as:
1. Feeling or showing pride
A. Having or displaying excessive self-esteem
B. much pleased exultant (filled with or expression of joy)
C. having proper/reasonable self-respect
D. showing of humility, lowly, modest

WOW!!  SB in not here to get into a big debate on the above definition but let’s look at this and how it pertains to our sports hero’s of today. When we drop a Chicago Bulls SnapBack on and wear in proudly do we support the Chicago Bulls or today do we wear it because we like the design or colors?   Do we have a feeling of pride or display self-esteem when we use that vintage SnapBack as a billboard for all to see? Does having Chicago Bulls snapback as our lid cover give us a reason for pride, to be glorious, spirited or vigorous in our action?  Maybe!!!!   Maybe we just like the looks and don’t actually support the Chicago Bulls!  Maybe we don’t have feelings of pride or being proud of much of anything any more!  What, no PROUD feelings impossible.

How do we learn/see other display the emotion of pride or being proud.  If we look to our sports hero’s one can see two distinct different paths. Today with the it’s a business run as a business felling, finding proud/pride amongst the athletes of ones favorite sports franchise could be difficult.  Who shoulders more of that responsibility for this occurrence, the franchise or the athlete.  The franchise trying to make a buck or the athlete trying to make a buck.

We don’t know, don’ t pretend to have a answer.  It could be a multitude of reason, circumstances that loaded all together still won’t give you a good answer.  That doesn’t make the Chicago Bull snapback wearer any more or less proud or prideful than before.

We can venture to say that we should become more proud and show more pride in things that directly impact our lives.
Strive to make family and friends proud of how you wear that Chicago Bull SnapBack.  Let their pride reflect each day in how you pursue your life dreams.

We at SB want to give a s/o to one of our family members for accomplishing a milestone they strived to reach. Hard work over many a year has now shown its reward.  One last level to reach so keep your eye on your goal and we know that you will then be wearing that vintage SnapBack with all the pride one can have.

Way to go girl!!!!!
