There is some simple facts about the Oregon ducks that not many people know, let’s look.

1.  In past history the Oregon Duck offense has been the talk of town,  and you can probable name some of the offense members, but did you know it was a high school defensive player with the highest rankings of all players to step on the Ducks field. Haloti Ngata ranked second overall went to Oregon.

2.  Oregon isn’t known for its football program really until the mid 1990s.  Except that only 7 schools have had more nfl players inducted into the hall of fame,  USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame,  Alabama, Pittsburgh, Syracuse

3. The Oregon Duck stadium is named after a Oregon State coach.

4. In 1983 the Ducks played in what is called today a game called the Civil War.  In a downpour they battled to a 0-0 tie.  This was the last such tie in NCAA division 1 since then.   You can bet there was some soaked  Oregon Duck snapbacks that day.

5. This game was between two teams that date back to the 7th oldest rivalry in College football.  Older than Florida/Georgia ,  USC/Notre Dame, Texas/Oklahoma and Ohio State/Michigan.  The Oregon/Oregon State game you can bet never leaves a Ducks SnapBack or Beavers SnapBack  on ones head.

6 Oregon may now be known best now for the crazy jersey uniforms that they were.  They have become trend setting in the fashion field.

7. The Ducks have played  in 3 straight BCS games  2 Rose Bowl appearances  along with a National Title game.

8. Go to a game at Oregon and hear between 3rd and 4th quarters  the song “shout”.  If you forgot where you may have heard the song before did you watch Animal House the movie  and the toga party scene.  It was filmed at the school had has become a tradition since.
