5 Years 80 Million WHAT???

Anybody following the National Basketball Association today knows that James Harden the 6th man on the Okc Thunder last year was traded to the Houston Rockets a couple days before the season opener.  The Thunder reportedly had offered Harder a 4 year 55 million DOLLAR contact that was not accepted by him.  Within days the management of the Thunder moved Harden receiving young talent and future draft picks.

Houston Rocket SnapBack wearers  received in Harden a young scoring 2 guard that they felt would give them the offensive presence to score nightly and a go to guy at crunch time.  The Rockets immediately signed Harden to the max deal allowed at 5YEARS 80 MILLION DOLLARS.  WOW!!!  I like James Harden and know that with that kind of money he should be able to set up his family for generations to come without the worries that many folks today face.  I don’t begrudge Harden for getting that kind of money either even though this is a GAME  played 82 times for a couple hours a night over the course of 7-8 months a year.

It’s what makes the USA great, that free enterprise can generate that kind of money to pay 1 player $195,000.00 for 35 to 40 minutes to dribbling and shoot a round ball through a round hoop 10 feet off the floor. Oh by the way that about $5,600.00 dollars a minute.  Houston Rocket Snapback wearers don’t care about that kind of money paid out, National Basketball Association lovers don’t care about that kind of money.

I haven’t heard any real loud protest for any Wall Street Occupiers either about what the Rockets have guaranteed Harden they will pay him over the next 5 years.   WHY?
Isn’t Harden now one of the hated, rich, power hungry, money hoarded, none sharing capitalist PIGS  that the Occupiers have been protesting against the last couple years.  If this was one of the CEO,s of a multi-million dollars wall street company signing a contact to bring home that same percent of his companies earning that Harden just did with the Rockets all HELL would brake lose.  Why then is it wrong for oil execs or CEOs of companies employing thousand of people and making millions of profit to make huge paycheck?   Why is it wrong enough for thousand for people to picket, say nasty thing about them and generally show large amount of disrespect towards them but not say or do a thing towards the Rockets or Harden.

Occupy Wall Street movement can’t just pick and choose certain things or people to protest against.  They have to be consistent or why or how can I get behind their movement.  Everyone today wants consistency, I do with my  job, Harden certainly does with his play and calls he may or may not get on the court.  Why then should not Occupy Wall Strret followers, seems to me if our going to just pick a choose who and what to protest against one wouldn’t have much ground to stand their movement on.
Either don’t do it or do it all!!!!
